Membership is an important part of how the Friends supports the Library. Beyond being a significant part of our financial support for the Library, a strong membership gives us a strong voice when we speak up on matters that affect Houston’s Library. Together we will be able to ensure that this major educational and cultural institution can continue to offer the very best service to our community.

A Big Perk, Members’ Preview Sale

Perhaps the biggest benefit we can give to our members is our Members’ Preview night at our book sales where we welcome members only to shop and buy as many books as you can.

Important Membership Details

Adult individual memberships start at $25.
The membership is now valid for a year from date of sign up.
Preview Passes will no longer be mailed out before the sale;
Members will now be checked in at the door.
T-shirts for members (associate level and above) will be distributed at the book sale
