City Hall Farmer’s Market Book Sales
The Friends newest project is a boutique book sale at the weekly City Hall Farmer’s Market. The Friends’ book sale started this fall and is continuing this spring every Wednesday from February 27 to June 26. This is a great opportunity for the Friends to reach a difference Houston audience and provide another Friends volunteer opportunity.
When? 11:00 am to 1:00 pm every Wednesday from February 27 to June 26.
Where? City Hall Farmer’s Market Hermann Square Park – Around the reflection pool in front of City Hall 900 Smith St., Houston, TX, 77002
What? A handpicked selection of books including: children’s fiction and non-fiction, history, mystery, cook books, business and maybe even a few surprises!
Books $1 to $3
Friends of the Houston Public Library is pleased to present this new volunteer opportunity. We are looking for volunteers to sell books at the City Hall Farmer’s Market.
Help us promote the Friends by selling books and memberships and raising awareness of what the Friends do for the Houston Public Library.
City Hall Farmer’s Market – Hermann Square Park (Downtown) 900 Smith St.
Three shifts of at least 2 people (6 people total each week):
|1st Shift||Setup & Selling||10:30am to 12pm|
|2nd Shift||Selling||11:30am to 1pm|
|3rd Shift||Selling & Cleanup||12:30pm to 2pm|
